I can’t even describe how thrilled I am to be sharing this wedding with you! First of all…

1. It’s our first set of wedding photos from this season!  Ali and Bill’s wedding took place on June 14th of this year, a great time for a Mount wedding in my opinion because the Summer flowers are starting to come out in full force.

2. These photos, shot by the awesome Skye Conner of Skyed Photography, do such a great job showing all the love and support that was present on Ali and Bill’s wedding day.

3. Ali was kind enough to share some of her thoughts on The Mount and favorite moments of the day with us.

4. And lastly, it was a beautiful event with so many personal touches including lush floral designs by Ali’s mom!

Ali, what drew to to the Berkshires and The Mount in particular?

“I grew up in the Berkshires and my family still lives there, so we decided to look at venues both in the Berkshires and closer to where we live now.  But, what ultimately made us choose The Mount?  One look around the property, that’s what!  The Mount was one of the first venues that we visited, and despite seeing it for the first time under more than a foot of fresh snow, nowhere else could compare to the space that The Mount had to offer.  The flexibility of the property was great, and we were able to use both of the gardens, the terrace and several rooms in the main house for different portions of our wedding.  It was perfect.”

What was your favorite moment of the day?

“I was walking down the awfully long limestone pathway/aisle and I realized that there was nothing to be nervous about – the weather was perfect, the venue was amazing, the flowers turned out beautifully, our family and friends were there, and I was going to be marrying the man that I love!  From that point on I was able to enjoy the day and take it all in, rather than waste time worrying about what might happen!”

What surprised you the most about your wedding day?

“Honestly what surprised me is how well everything went as a whole.  I am very detail oriented, and while I worried about how everything would go for days and days before the wedding, Bill kept telling me that it would all be fine.  Well, he was right, and the day was awesome.”
