The Mount is a lovely place to take pictures. We encourage you to take recreational pictures and share them with friends and family. While we try to extend every consideration to individuals and groups wishing to photograph at The Mount, these activities must not interfere with normal operations.

For recreational photographs or video, you do not need to check in with the Ticketbooth prior to taking pictures. Please note, no flash photography is allowed in the Main House.

Drones are allowed on the exterior grounds of The Mount with written permission. Permission must be obtained 24 hours in advance. Drone operators must be licensed as required by the FAA and must inform the proper authorities as appropriate about operational plans. We request that drone operators do not hover their device over people and that any photographs and/or video is limited to the grounds and buildings. We reserve the right to alter flight patterns or stop any drone photography at any time. All commercial drone photography must follow the steps/guidelines noted below.

Commercial, Professional, Portrait, and Artistic photographers (film and video) are required to obtain permission prior to entering the grounds and before capturing any images. Photographic activity inside the Main House is limited and by appointment only. Photography may not begin until any associated fees are paid in full.

The Mount reserves all rights for photographic reproduction of Edith Wharton Restoration (EWR) property.
