Real Wedding at The Mount: Mark and Brad

Continuing with our 2014 weddings, today I am sharing with you a late-May celebration that is full to the brim with love, friendship, and style.

Mark and Brad were amazing to work with; kind, funny, and just a pleasure to be around throughout the whole process.  Their awesome attitudes made for a very smooth event and it certainly didn’t hurt that we were working with Mezze Catering and Crocus Hale Flowers: a Mount dream team.

These photos, shot by Brad and Mark’s good friend Menelik Puryear, do such a great job capturing both the genuine moments of emotion and the beautiful design elements of this wedding. This wedding had one of my favorite color schemes and Mark and Brad’s amazing blue suits definitely tied it all together.

I’m also including Brad and Mark’s thoughts on why they chose The Mount and what surprised them on the big day. Thanks for sharing guys!

Enjoy these shots and their reflections on the wedding. You should know that it was SO hard picking just a few pictures for this post because all 255 images in their album were stunning. Congrats Mark and Brad!

Stay tuned for more stylish 2014 weddings to come.

Cheers,

Grace

“We loved getting married at the Mount.  We split our time between New York City and Berkshires, but when it was time to choose a place to get married we knew we wanted to be here, where our hearts are.”

“The Mount was just the right combination for us.  Of course, the home and grounds are beautiful…but the Mount also has a casual and friendly elegance that we love.  We knew that our guests would be able to wander the grounds and feel at home here, which was really important to us.”

“The idea of being in Mrs. Wharton’s home really appealed to everyone.  We made bookmarks for our invitations and sent everyone a copy of one of Wharton’s novels, which people loved.  And of course we loved getting dressed in Mrs. Wharton’s boudoir.”

“One of the things that surprised us most about our wedding was how much fun we had.  We wanted everyone else to enjoy it, but it also ended up feeling like a party that we were invited to, instead of one that we had organized.  We’re so happy we got married here.”
