The Mount is located in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts and is close to Tanglewood, the Norman Rockwell Museum, Mass MoCA and many other Berkshire attractions.

Hours

The Main House & Bookstore are now closed for the season and will reopen in May.

The grounds are free and open daily from dawn to dusk, unless otherwise posted.

Admission

All onsite exhibits are included with admission to the Main House. Purchase tickets here. You do not need to purchase a ticket to visit the Terrace Café or Bookstore. The grounds and gardens are currently open, free-of-charge.

Discount Programs

The Mount is pleased to participate in Bank of America’s Museums on Us program. Visitors who present an active Bank of America or Merrill Lynch debit or credit card and a valid photo ID will receive free general admission on the first full weekend (consecutive Saturday and Sunday) of each month. Admission is nontransferable and for the cardholder only.


Visit The Mount and Herman Melville’s Arrowhead and receive a $2 discount at the second property. Bring your receipt or proof of visit from Arrowhead or The Mount to receive $2 off all adult and senior admissions. Valid for seven days after your first visit. Cannot be combined with any other discounts. Good from May 20 to October 31, please check web sites for early closing days, be aware that some guided tours sell out.

Accessibility

The Mount welcomes visitors of all abilities and backgrounds. If you have a mobility, visual, or hearing impairment, we are here to help. Caregivers are admitted free-of-charge. The Mount offers handicapped parking and accessible restrooms at the Main House and Stable, and an elevator in the Main House.

The Mount is a Massachusetts Cultural Council UP designated organization welcoming participants of all abilities.
