Interacting with History
In honor of Edith Wharton's admiration for the French aesthetic, The Mount will be celebrating French art and culture during the 2010 season with a special exhibition of the works of French artist Xavier Veilhan.
Veilhan is an artist who explores the possibilities of representation. He works in sculpture, video, digital photography, and public statuary, and his work was presented in Versailles in 2009. His work has been exhibited around the world, and as well as numerous solo projects, he has installed several public projects throughout France. A number of his pieces will be displayed at The Mount during the summer.
The exhibit opens on July 2, 2010 and runs through October 31, 2010. It is free with admission to The Mount.
