Outdoor Yoga at The Mount

This summer, The Mount and Lenox Yoga are offering a beautiful blending of arts and movement with outdoor yoga classes all summer long.

Join us every Tuesday from May 14 to September 3 for an outdoor, all-level yoga class. Instructors from Lenox Yoga will guide you through a gentle morning practice as you immerse yourself in the beauty of The Mount's grounds and gardens.

The Mount is a Massachusetts Cultural Council UP designated organization welcoming participants of all disabilities.   • Pre-registration is recommended at $22 per class. Drop-ins are $25.
  • On-site: Look for the posted signs to guide you from the parking lot.
  • All participants should bring water, a mat, sunscreen if needed.

Instructors

Sue Parsley
Lenox Yoga Website

Sue Parsley is the owner of Lenox Yoga. An experienced educator, she is a certified master yoga instructor specializing in Corporate Wellness. In addition to teaching and lecturing at world-class facilities like Canyon Ranch Lenox, Club Westmoor in Nantucket, and Equinox in Vermont, Sue serves as the Wellness Director at The Center for Motivation and Change in the Berkshires. In 2015 and 2016, Sue was named Ambassador to The Canyon Ranch Institute. She brings light, fun, and creative energy to every class she teaches.

Nora Fenner

Nora Fenner is a 500hr Kripalu Yoga teacher, Reiki attuned, and shamanic energy healer. She has attended workshops with Manju Jois, David Swenson, Angela Farmer, Bryan Kest, Yoganand Michael Carroll, Ray Crist, and others. Nora has worked at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health for over ten years. She brings light, cheer, peace, and a well-balanced physical and mental practice to her classes, bringing inner peace and strength, which she offers to her classes.

Sue Shook

As a landscape and floral artist, Sue Shook weaves her love of the earth into her practice of yoga. Utilizing every sense, she teaches in a nurturing way to help you find the same warm connection to mother earth in every pose. Sue has been a yoga practitioner for more than 18 years. A graduate of the Yoga Institute of the Berkshires and a Yoga Alliance member, Sue recommitted herself three years ago to teaching and practicing full time and now offers classes at Lenox Yoga. Those who practice with Sue find that she guides with clarity and encourages long, deep poses to achieve a sense of tranquility.

Mary Keator

Mary Keator, Ph.D. (RYTA-500 and E-RYTA 500) is a Yoga Alliance continuing education provider (YACEP), recognizing her as an expert in one or more Yoga Alliance educational categories. Mary has been teaching yoga for over 25 years. She sees yoga as a practice of self-discipline to heal the body, train the mind, embody compassion, and build healthy communities. One of her many gifts is her ability to guide you toward deeper alignment—body, mind, and spirit—through yoga, mindfulness/meditation, and spiritual direction.

Janet Lee

Janet Lee worked as a health and wellness instructor for over 30 years. She holds a Master’s Degree in Sports and Fitness Management and is a certified personal trainer and fitness instructor in multiple modalities, including yoga, Pilates, aquatics, and dance. Janet has taught classes at Canyon Ranch, the Kilpatrick Center at Simon’s Rock, Berkshire South Community Center, and many other facilities around Berkshire County. Janet’s philosophy is that exercise and wellness are essential for a strong mind and body, accessible to everyone. 

Andrew Tanner

Andrew Tanner is a yoga troubadour and spiritual showman playing his part faithfully in this silly little thing we call life…

From living as a Daoist monk, to studying with Hatha masters, opening 6 yoga studios, running yoga non-profits and tech companies, this whimsical fellow can’t seem to decide if he wants to be a yogi or a yogipreneur! He currently teaches yoga, coaches and consults yoga businesses and is also putting together the inaugural Berkshire Yoga Festival in 2024.
Andrew continues his 22 year practice of Daoist studies in the Korean Sundo lineage under Grandmaster Hyunmoon Kim.

Pam Levin

Pam Levin incorporates brain and spinal cord health-boosting elements that promote neuroplasticity. Dedicated to helping others achieve their goals and reach their full potential, Levin includes components of neurological rehabilitation into each session, enhancing the brain-body connection and neurological wellness. Pam has practiced yoga for over 15 years, taking classes in Bikram, Hatha, and Vinyasa throughout New York City and The Berkshires. She received her yoga teacher training in Great Barrington, MA.
