With the holidays just around the corner come get in the spirit at The Mount. Learn how to knit Santa’s Hat in the Sewing Room, enjoy hot cider and cider donuts in the Gallery, and hop on a full House Tour to learn more about Edith Wharton.
Reservations are required. Tickets include Sheepish Creatures’ Santa’s Hat knitting kit, one-on-one knitting instruction from Susie Harding, cider and donuts, and a tour of the Main House.
Susie Harding first moved to the Berkshires in 1991, having just graduated from college, learned to knit and married her husband, Jim. Twenty-seven years and four fantastic children later, she has served on the Lee School Committee, worked in the Lee Library and at WEBS- America’s Yarn Store. She has knit through basketball practices and breast cancer treatments, Jim’s military deployments and many, many college tours. She believes firmly in the holistic benefits of knitting and loves most of all when it brings people together. Since her children are almost grown, (and have plenty of sweaters now), she has founded Sheepish Creatures as way to share her love of knitting, learning, and creating with yarn.
The Mount is a Massachusetts Cultural Council UP designated organization welcoming participants of all disabilities. Please contact 413-551-5100 to discuss accommodations needed to participate fully in this event.
