The Mount welcomes visitors daily-—but please note that the Main House, Stable, Café, and Bookstore are open only from early May through October.

The Mount’s beautiful grounds will remain open to the public at no charge until opening day. Come explore the woodlands at your leisure. Dog walkers are welcome!

In the coming months, The Mount will host periodic special events open to the public. Check the Programs and Events listings for details.

And mark your calendars now for the opening day of the new season: May 3, 2014! From May 3 through October
31, 2014, the buildings and public gardens at The Mount will be open to the public on a daily basis from 10 am to 5 pm, except on the following early closing days:

Admission (applies from May 3-October 31, 2014)

Please note: the following admission fees include guided tours of the house and gardens; however, you may also view the house & grounds on your own. You may purchase general admission tickets on arrival; you do not need reservations for regular house or gardens tours.

Adult: $18
Senior (65+): $17
Student (with valid ID): $13
American Icons: $29, $39, $49
Free admission for visitors 18 and under

A Grounds Pass, including access to the outdoor SculptureNow exhibit, will be available for $12. Note: a Grounds Pass permits access to the property, bookstore, and cafe only; it does not allow access to the main floors of the house.

House and Garden Guided Tours

Let one of our expert guides introduce you to Wharton’s life, works, and love of architecture and interior design through a 45-minute tour of her 42-room country home.

Tours of The Mount’s three acres of restored formal gardens, among the largest and most exquisite in New England, are also available from May through October. Group tour rates are available with advance reservations.

Tour Times for May 2014 (subject to change):

Weekdays: Guided House Tours at  11am and 1pm

Weekends: Guided House Tours at  11am, 12pm, 1pm,  2pm,  3pm

* Guided Garden Tours will begin  Memorial Day weekend

Visitors are also invited to take self-guided tours through the house and gardens. Knowledgeable interpreters are always available to answer questions.
