Opening day at The Mount is right around the corner, and we are happily gearing up for a season infused with beauty as well as a broad array of lively programming.
We are particularly excited about the return of outdoor theatre to The Mount this summer! In partnership with the Berkshire Theatre Festival and The Colonial Theatre, we will be offering nightly family friendly performances of “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” for two weeks beginning July 18. Bring your blankets and picnic baskets, and enjoy an enchanting evening under the stars.
Other seasonal highlights include a publishing workshop on June 17 and 18 led by David Emblidge; an afternoon of poetry on July 9 with Kevin Young; the return of our highly anticipated Lecture Series; the Wharton on Wednesday dramatic readings; performances of “Autres Temps…” by the Wharton Salon; weekly ghost tours starting in June; and the Jazz Cafe on weekend evenings in August. Details and updates will be posted on EdithWharton.org over the next few weeks.
If you’re not already a member of The Mount, this is a perfect time to become one. As a member, you can enjoy discounts for special programs and events, and your admission to the property is always free; you’re also entitled to a 10% discount in The Mount’s charming bookstore.
We’d love to see you often this season! Thank you, dear friends, for all that you do.
