Journalist and cultural critic Kate Bolick is back with another season of Touchstones: Conversations at The Mount. Join Kate on June 15th for an intimate conversation with author Lee Siegel about his memoir, The Draw.
Lee Siegel is the author of five books and the recipient of the 2002 National Magazine Award for Reviews and Criticism. He writes frequently for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, and is a regular contributor to the Columbia Journalism Review. He has worked as senior editor of The New Republic, associate editor of ARTnews, book critic of The Nation, art critic for Slate, and contributing writer for the LA Times Book Review, has written for Harper’s, New York Magazine, The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Guardian, The New York Review of Books, among many other publications, and appeared on MSNBC, CNBC, CNN, CSPAN, the BBC, CBC, and NPR. His memoir, The Draw, will be published in April 2017.
Kate Bolick is the author of the New York Times bestseller Spinster: Making a Life of One’s Own, a contributing editor for The Atlantic, and a freelance writer for various publications, including The New York Times, Vogue, and The Wall Street Journal. Previously, she was executive editor of Domino and a columnist for The Boston Globe. She has appeared on NBC’s Today show, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and numerous NPR programs across the country. A recipient of a MacDowell fellowship, she holds a master’s in cultural criticism from New York University, where she currently teaches writing.
