Join lively discussion of Wharton’s literary legacy with one of The Mount’s interpreters during Literary Roundtable! On August 10th, special guest and novelist Claire McMillan will lead the discussion about her latest novel, The Necklace.

Claire McMillan‘s second novel, The Necklace, will be published July 1 by Simon and Schuster. Her first novel, Gilded Age, was a modern retelling of The House of Mirth set in contemporary Cleveland. She was a 2016 Edith Wharton Writer-in-Residence and now serves on The Mount’s board of trustees. She holds an MFA in creative writing from Bennington College and is currently a recovering attorney.
